WOW! I didn’t even realize how fast this month has gone, but I’m officially on my tenth day of dressing however the Internet tells me to!
Honestly, it’s been a busy month even without the challenge (February is terrible for anybody attending or working in schools), but I’m glad I’ve committed to doing this. Having to come up with a totally new look every day has been a source of creative energy, and I’ve also found myself blogging more than I have since high school. The only downside is that I haven’t gotten very much sleep – it’s hard to work a full-time job, go to the gym, eat dinner, then squeeze in a blog post at near 12am every single day of the week! Hopefully I can maintain this habit of writing regularly, just at a much earlier hour.
Anyway, to celebrate, I dressed myself as my favorite treat – boba!

Though I’m usually more of a fruit tea guy, I’ve been getting really into milk tea lately – especially brown sugar milk tea! Something about that blend of light, creamy black tea and gooey caramelized goodness hits me in my pleasure centers like nothing else. It was a ton of fun trying to interpret that combination into something I could wear; I was most proud of using my shoes and beanie to represent the topping and the lid. (Get it? Because they’re both black?)
Another fun thing about today’s challenge is that it got me to wear this hilarious pair of tropical-print pants, which have remained hidden in my dresser for the better part of three years!
It’s getting late, so this post will be a little bit shorter than usual. See you tomorrow!
Steal the look:
- Black beanie (The lid!)
- Guess jacket, olive (The…wrapper? The cup? Not sure about this one. honestly. Still workshopping it.)
- Denim & Flower t-shirt, light brown (The milk tea base!)
- Banana Republic Slim Elastic-Waist Pant, dark taupe (The brown sugar syrup!)
- Vans x J. Crew Old Skool Sneakers, Floral (The boba!)
Coming tomorrow: I dress in techwear – which, as I learned ten minutes ago, does NOT mean dressing like an Apple Store employee.
